AT THE CAYUGA VAULT

HJ feature the stunning left handed, upside down, acoustic and electric guitar playing of Glen Houston and the golden tenor of Travis Jones (guitar), plus the double bass and harmony vocals of Chris Kee and the percussion and harmony vocals of Peter Tucker. When the eclectic fiddle and mandolin of Chojo Jacques joins them they have 3 of the 4 original Waybacks on stage.

In some shows keyboards and accordion are also added. They usually sizzle through a mix of blues, folk, country, bluegrass, Celtic, gospel and jazz, mixing original material with the best from others. They have 3 CDs out (two studio and one live) and last year stormed the main stage at Strawberry (voted the best new band and Travis the best new vocalist). This year they have several US and Canadian festivals lined up. www.houstonjones.com

Multi-instrumentalist (guitar, fiddle. mandolin, clawhammer banjo) Michael Stadler is also a fine singer ("the voice of a very loud angel") covering Americana, folk, old-time and country. Though a veteran musician, who has appeared on many recordings, his first solo CD, "North Country", was recently released. www.angelfire.com/folk/stadler/index.html

The summer of 1997 found Don in Livingston, Montana portraying the role of "Smokey" in Robert Redford's film The Horse Whisperer . In addition to this acting/singing role, Don is featured on the MCA soundtrack. In May of 1998, to coincide with The Horse Whisper theater release, Warner Western compiled and released "The Best of Don Edwards" while Western Jubilee offered Don's newest recording "My Hero Gene Autry" recorded live at Mr. Autry's 90th birthday. The richness of Don's voice coupled with his magical stage presentation makes Don Edwards America's number one western singer and concert attraction. The accolades though, have been simply added bonuses for Edwards, who sings what he does out of love and respect for the genre. Don's career continues to blossom, and luckily for all who care about it, he has because of his sincere approach, added much to the literature and music of the West, passing on to the rest of us a legacy rich for his efforts. www.donedwardsmusic.com

I could listen to Alisa and Kimball sing all night.” – Jim Messina, Loggins & Messina

Add to the mix the vocal and pickin' power of Roger Feuer who played in the now legendary CITY FOLK with Kimball, and you have the makings of an acoustic supergroup. Named “Best Folk Musician” four years in a row by Monterey Bay's Coast Weekly, singer-songwriter Alisa Fineman is renowned for her earthy voice, dusky overtones and depth of emotion. Beautifully complimented by multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Kimball Hurd , their award-winning songs cover the joys and struggles that shape our lives and what it means to care well for each other and the places we live. "Two of my favorite performers... Alisa and Kimball's music sends shivers through me with the rise and fall of sweetly paired voices and compelling lyrics. Expect to hear strong harmonies and Hurd's technical prowess on guitar, mandolin and dobro…” (Betty Lenz, Good Times). Their talents and gracious stage presence have earned them Alisa and Kimball national acclaim and mainstage performances at such prestigious festivals as Strawberry, Kate Wolf Memorial, Kerrville Folk, and South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. www.alisafineman.com/alisakimball.htm
