Buy tickets hereDuo Quartet the truth is, this is a band that wasnt supposed happen. It started with four old friends thinking, hey, lets do a couple of shows as a double-bill: Nina Gerber & Chris Webster in concert with The Pam & Jeri Show (Pam Delgado and Jeri Jones of Blame Sally). Given that all four women already had stellar reputations in the greater Bay Area, it wasnt hard to book some high profile venues followed by full houses.
At first, each performance stuck to the program one duo followed by the other duo, with a grand finale of all four playing together. The duo part was great, but the quartet thing was downright exciting. Before long the shows featured the four of them playing together, with an occasional duo breakout section. Hence the band, and the name Duo Quartet
From an audience point of view there is something richly satisfying in experiencing these four women onstage with a dynamic ranging from tender, ethereal songs to raucous barn-burners. Webster and Delgado sing most of the leads Chris often expertly playing a washboard while Delgado drives the band with her percussion. But if this were a boxing ring youd see coming in from opposite corners the dueling energy of Jones and Gerber egging each other on with their guitar-Goddestry whipping the band and the audience into a veritable frenzy.
With a beautiful set of original music mixed with surprisingly original takes on a few choice covers, Duo Quartet brings to the stage a band that is greater than the sum of its already impressive parts. https://duoquartet.com/

Jack's bio in itself is amazing, with a 60+ year career playing folk, rock, jazz, R and B, classical and popular music from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. In the 60's he was a hired gun guitarist/ band leader for John Lee Hooker, Hank Ballard, and the Shirelles, amongst others. Up to the 80's he played jazz trumpet and classical guitar, while also fronting a series of original rock bands as an electric guitarist. In the 60's he started touring as a solo troubadour and for the last 25 years that has been his main gig, doing 100's of shows a year. His songs have been recorded by others ranging from Tom Jones to Tom Paxton. At times he has teamed up with other great singers - the late Harry Nilsson in 1973, and until 2002 with his friend, the late Mickey Newberry. Jack has at least 10 solo CD's of original music, plus involvement in many others. www.jackwilliamsmusic.com
"a musical style that's equal parts folk storytelling and Tin Pan Alley songcraft, delivered with the impassioned soul of an old blues singer" - Kevin Oliver, No Depression Magazine.
".... his artistry... is nothing short of amazing. Dazzling picking, expressive voice, unique and interesting songs. He is a showman in the best sense of the word and just wowed our audience. I think they would have followed him anywhere." - Rich Warren, WFMT "Midnight Special", Chicago IL

Food and Drink: Beer, wine, coffee, tea and soft drinks available. Usual coffee shop food. (if you wish, bring your own wine and pay corkage)Unmistakably Nordic in flavor, Sofia Talvik's music is somehow still also unmistakably Folk/Americana, blending sparkle and melancholy. She is a veteran performer, with an angelic voice, and 8 full length albums as well as numerous EPs, singles, and tours behind her. Living like a musical nomad, moving from place to place, slowly but steadily building her audience through her personal performances, she has experienced the USA in a way only a few Americans do.
Sofia's debut album, Blue Moon, was released in 2005 to critical acclaim, and she was the first Swedish female artist to play the Lollapalooza festival, in Chicago in 2008. She toured the US several times after her success there, and was invited to officially showcase at both the SxSW and The Folk Alliance International Conference in 2012. Her US tour that year was a 16 month, 37 states, 250 concert marathon. In 2014 Sofia released the EP "FOLK" - a hauntingly beautiful EP of old Swedish folk songs in a modern presentation. In 2015 Sofia's 6th studio album Big Sky Country was released, a storybook of adventures, hardships, and self-doubt. It was voted 4th best Americana album of the year by the U.K national newspaper, The Telegraph. The latest album Paws of a Bear released in 2019 gained critical acclaim in both the U.S and Europe, charting on the top lists of U.S Folk Radio, Roots Music Report and Euro Americana Charts. In 2023 the single Circle of Destruction was released and will be followed by the full-length album Center of the Universe soon. https://sofiatalvik.com
