Goh Kurosawa, from LA, has been a regular traveler along the West Coast for the passed several years. His unique & dynamic style of creative solo guitar (acoustic, classical, folk rock, flamenco, global & creative music) has never failed to excite his listeners. He has just returned from Brazil, and this November he will for the first time tour with his brother, Kai Kurosawa. Kai is one of the leading figures in tap-style guitar playing; a wizard of the one of a kind 24-stringed "Beartrax - Big Mama Bear" which he designed, and a master on both modern & traditional bass-oriented instruments. They have just headlined at the newly created Wild Beast Pavilion at Walt Disney's California Institute of the Arts, during the 40th year anniversary & reunion event, along with their drummer as the creative trio Sharp Three. http://www.happysad.org/goh/english/gk_bio.html http://www.happysad.org/english/hs_bio.html
Walter Strauss is a fingerstyle guitar wizard who successfully blends world beat, Americana, and jazz into a unique brand of his own. For 15 years he performed as an ensemble musician and also toured with Rounder recording eclectic folksters, The Burns Sisters. Since moving to the Bay Area, a few years ago, he has played for us as a trio - with bassist and vocalist Sam Bevan (David Grisman, Joe Craven) and percussionist Kendrick Freeman (Alison Brown, Rob Ickes). In this show he gets to strut his stuff solo. http://www.walterstrauss.com/index.html

OR contact Fiddling Cricket at 831-475-4938 or Brundle@attglobal.netLocal artist, Sharon Allen, had a wonderful CD release party for her debut solo CD, "Along the Way", last year at Don Quixote's in Felton. The CD, a mixture of Sharon's own material and fine covers of songs from Billy Joe Shaver, Townes van Zandt, and Kate Wolf, highlighted Sharon's haunting soprano voice, supported by a host of local back-up talent. In this Ugly Mug show, some of that talent will also be on display, when Sharon revisits songs from the CD, backed by guitarist Charlie Wallace, percussionist Jimmy Norris, and the bass of Jerry Bradley. Sherry Austin may also put in an appearance for a couple of duets. http://www.sharon-allen.com/
Tony Furtado

FC Cosponsored Show with
AT DON QUIXOTES MUSIC HALL
6275 Highway 9 in Downtown Felton, call 831-603-2294Tony Furtado combines a wicked acoustic slide guitar and magic banjo with a deep and wide repertoire of hot tunes. It takes guts to start your album off with The Bawds of Euphony, an instrumental banjo tune that draws its cryptic title from the words of a Wallace Stevens poem . But Tony Furtado is a man unafraid to go with his heart when it comes to his music. Tony's 14th album, entitled Deep Water , comes entirely from Tony's heart. This CD is 100% Tony Furtado, from the cover art that he created, to the collection of 14 songs that he wrote and chose specifically for Deep Water. Here you will find tunes that embrace his love of slide guitar, his prowess as a banjo player, and his ability to write a song that elicits deep emotion. Produced by the fabulous (and slightly mad) Sean Slade (The Pixies, Radiohead , Dinosaur Jr ., Dresden Dolls ), Deep Water wanders through a wide array of sentiment; from joy and love, to despair and hopelessness. Recorded in Boston , away from managers, label employees, publicists or loved ones, Sean and Tony came together to make a record Tony truly wanted to create. http://www.tonyfurtado.com

AT DON QUIXOTES MUSIC HALL
6275 Highway 9 in Downtown Felton, call 831-603-2294Keith Greeninger: Coming to you with new songs and your favorites. In June of 2005, Keith won first place in the prestigious Telluride Troubadour national song writing competition at the Telluride Blue Grass Festival. Multi-award winning singer songwriter Keith Greeninger paints intricate portraits of the human condition with powerful melodic images, deep engaging guitar rhythms and warm heart wrenching vocals. As a young boy he would often fall asleep at night with a transistor radio under his pillow. He could remember lyrics after only one listen and the melodies came just as readily. With that radio tucked under his pillow, Keith Greeninger discovered a passion. That's where it all began. http://www.keithgreeninger.com
The Rayburn Brothers Band, with their rough-hewn folk-rock sound, is comprised of gifted singer songwriter Craig Rayburn, a well-seasoned musician with a powerful voice and lyrics, and brother Keith Rayburn, also a talented singer songwriter, who brings his stellar dobro and slide guitar playing to the mix. The Rayburn Brothers voices blend and intertwine as only brothers can, with graceful harmonies and poignant singing. Deftly combining acoustic and electric instruments , they play songs ranging from heart-rending ballads to foot stomping rockers. Adding to the group on powerful lead guitar is long time friend and band member of Craig's previous bands, Nick Heinz. Driving drumbeats are provided by local legend Jimmy Norris ( Lacy J. Dalton ). Dick Tacklind adds tasty bass licks and Kevin Taylor weaves keyboards throughout to complete the tapestry. Exceptional harmonies are provided by Sharon Allen and Eliza James. http://www.craigrayburn.com

call 831-475-4938 or email Brundle@attglobal.netFrom Carnegie Hall to the Dr. Demento Show and almost everything between are stops along the way for Cosy Sheridan and her music. She has garnered top honors from some of the most prestigious song writing contests: The Kerrville Folk Festival's New Folk award, The Telluride Bluegrass Festival's Troubadour Award and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Songwriting Showcase Award. Trained in voice at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, she is also an excellent fingerstyle guitarist. She travels with her yoga mat, but without her gallbladder. She is compassionate, very sharp, and will talk about anything on stage. She may sing songs about body piercing, a more user-friendly Barbie Doll, the loneliness of an elderly neighbor, or how small and humble things in life can sew your heart back together. One way or another she will make you cry. Playing bass and providing harmony vocals for Cosy will be TR Ritchie, an accomplished solo performer in his own right, with 4 CD's of original music and awards from half a dozen national songwriting contests. http://www.cosysheridan.com/ http://www.trritchie.com/sitemap.htm
