Mark Stuart is the founder and front man for his band, the Bastard Sons of Jonny Cash. He was given the right to use that name personally by The Man in Black himself. Despite this, BSOJC is NOT a tribute band but strives to continue to keep the sounds and traditions of American Roots music alive. Mark is an excellent songwriter, singer, and guitarist. Since its inception in 1995 the band has made 5 CDs and played everywhere on major stages for 1000's and smoky bars for dozens.www.bsojc.com

Charlie Joe Wallace is the ace steel player in local favorites, the Carolyn Sills Combo, and is also in demand with other groups, such as Don Burnham's western swing groups, Lost Weekend and The Bolos, and with Mark in BSJC when touring in the West. As well as steel he is also an excellent guitarist. This special show, to celebrate Charlie's Birthday, in the intimacy of The Ugly Mug, will be more of an acoustic singer-songwriter and storytelling event. Come and celebrate with Charlie!
