Kuumbwa Jazz Center 320-2 Cedar Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Bonny June & Bonfire, a trio since 2012, have been coined by fans as “Americana meets Vaudeville” due to their theatrical and dramedic style. You may have heard their tunes Ride, Courage, Ride, and Dontcha Tell the Preacher, and Devil in Bed on KPIG radio. Bonny’s original songs tell wild and beautiful stories, brought to life with stellar harmonies and performances by guitarist Ken Kraft (White Album Ensemble) and bassist Craig Owens (Lacy J. Dalton) of Snail band fame. An evening with Bonfire is sure to delight the listener with catchy music featuring villains & heroines, lovers & legends.

Once a year, these singer-songwriters transform under the full moon into their alter-egos; Countess June, Count Kraftula and Batman Owens! Performing in full vampire regalia, they go batty, bringing out songs of the witching season including the haunting Annabel Lee, the retro You Can Be A Zombie Too and the brand-new Dracula’s Daughter.

Joined by their favorite demon, Devil Maycare (Cheryl Henson), they will be back on the Kuumbwa Jazz stage for more hilarious All Hallows Eve shenanigans and spooky songs for a super-fun Halloween weekend celebration, which also just happens to be, appropriately, the Full Hunter’s Moon! Yum….

Come in costume and join in the costume contest, or come as yourself, all are welcome on this night of festivities https://bonnyjunetunes.com/
