Introducing the Goat Hill Girls. Their name pays homage to the lovely Santa Cruz Mountains, scenes near and dear their hearts and to a special landmark, Goat Hill, located there. It is this mixture of old friends and new friends that come together in an earthy, down home, fun loving, bluegrass and old-time sound.
The Goat Hill Girls feature the sweet and inspired fiddle playing of Lee Anne Welch, the creative and compelling banjo playing of Sonia Shell, the robust and sincere mandolin playing of Kim Elking, the vital and solid bass playing of Lisa Burns and the clever and personable guitar playing of Linda Maki. All the members of the Goat Hill Girls sing, which makes for some lovely combination of trios.

Food and Drink: Beer, wine, coffee, tea and soft drinks available. Usual coffee shop food. (if you wish, bring your own wine and pay corkage)Modern folk musicians Paul Kamm and Eleanore MacDonald, from Nevada City, CA., have been writing and performing original, contemporary folk music for 41 years. Their music is graced by exquisite harmony, compelling songwriting, deceptively simple arrangements and intricate guitar work.
They are Kerrville, Telluride and Rocky Mtn New Folk award winners. Their songs are filled with stories that touch us all, and whether it's love or politics, war and peace, old farmers, old women or the earth and our children, this music brings to life both history and today with a powerful mix of inclusion and compassion.
At home in large venues like the Strawberry, Kerrville or Kate Wolf music festivals, a late night 'in the round' tribute to Woody Guthrie with folks they greatly admire like Jackson Browne, Eliza Gilkyson, and Steve Earle or in the small intimate setting of a house concert, Paul and Eleanore sing with the same voice. One that is personal and unguarded.
Since 1987 Paul and Eleanore have independently produced 9 albums of original music, receiving critical acclaim from all of the various trade reviewers worldwide. They've been featured in Dirty Linen, Sing Out! Magazine, and Democracy Now!
Paul and Eleanore are soon to release album #10, Djuna's Lullaby, their first recording since From the Fire, in 2010. https://www.kammmac.com/
