TANASI is a worldgrass trio based in Asheville, North Carolina, channeling global folk traditions through the drive, textures, and close harmonies of an Appalachian string band.

With Billy Cardine on dobro, Anya Hinkle on vocals and guitar, and Mary Lucey on vocals, upright bass, and clawhammer banjo, the group unites three widely acclaimed roots artists whose combined careers span decades of touring, recording, and cross-cultural exchange.

In 2025, TANASI received a National Endowment for the Arts US Artists International Grant. They will release their self-titled debut album, TANASI, in 2026.

Jimmy Dillon (guitar) is a singer-songwriter with an illustrious career spanning over five decades. Jimmy has carved a distinctive niche for himself captivating audiences worldwide with his soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and exceptional guitar skills ranging over many styles. https://jimmydillon.com/

Lorin Rowan, recorded and played together with brothers Peter and Chris in the 80's and 90's and often played lead electric guitar in Peter's Free Mexican Airforce. His San Francisco bands Rattlebox and The Edge (which included Jimmy Dillon) played a cutting edge blend of rock, reggae, ska, and world rhythms. Lorin's music plays regularly in TV and films and his song "Soldier of the Cross" was the title cut for Ricky Skaggs Grammy winning CD.https://lorinrowan.com/
