The Biscuit Burners offer their Fiery Mountain Music with innovative instrumentation, resplendent harmonies, and captivating original material. Their unique, yet familiar material pulls strongly from their respect for traditional mountain music, their love of bluegrass and classic country, and their appreciation of music from all corners of the world. Formed in 2004 this young band quickly established itself, appearing that year at the historic Ryman Auditorium, and since then at major acoustic music festivals like Merlefest, and top venues like the Freight and Salvage on the west coast and the Birchmere on the east coast. They have two albums, and another in the works. Founded 21 years ago, and touring the US regularly since 1999, Fragment made their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2000 and has performed in numerous festivals all over the USA. The band currently consists of Jana Dolakova (lead vocals and bass), Henrich Novak (resonator guitar), Petr Bradejs (banjo and guitar), and Ondrej Kozak (guitar, fiddle and lead vocals). Jana, whose vocals are often mistaken for Alison Krauss, has won bluegrass vocalist of the year no less than 6 times in the Czech and Slovak Republics, and Henrich and Petr have nearly as many awards for dobro and banjo. They represent the traditional folk art of Hawaiian slack key guitar and vocal melodies. Show features solo slack key guitar and a rousing trio jam session, trading spontaneous solos and unique vocal harmonies, recreating the atmosphere of a Hawaiian backyard party. George Kuo - Known for perpetuating traditional Hawaiian slack key guitar styling (kiho`alu), George started playing slack key in the 1970's with old–time slack key masters like Raymond Kane, Sonny Chillingworth, Gabby Pahinui and Barney Isaacs. Martin Pahinui –known for his out-of-this-world singing and legendary family musical tradition.
